Jump Jam with Brett Fairweather

Today we had a wonderful time meeting the famous Jump Jam King, Brett Fairweather.  We loved dancing along with him.  Trials will be held next week for the George Street Normal School Junior Jump Jam Team.  Only 15 children from Year 2-4 will be chosen but Mrs McCulley will be crossing her fingers that some of the students from Room 4 will be in the team!

Buddy Time - Zebras

On Thursday afternoon, our big buddies from Room 9 helped us to make zebras out of paper plates.  It was lots of fun!

Jump Jam

On Friday, we will be meeting the famous Brett Fairweather and learning how to Jump Jam.  The children know to come along to school tomorrow in comfortable clothes and suitable shoes (please remind them parents if they forget!)

Zara & Buzzy

Buzzy had a fantastic time with Zara in the weekend.  He went skateboarding, played in the treehouse, jumped on the trampoline and went paddle boarding at Warrington Beach.  Wow!  He will need to rest up after such an action-packed weekend!

Mrs Dakers visits Room 4

On Thursday, Mrs Dakers came to visit our class during writing time.  She enjoyed helping the children in Room 4 and reading all their interesting stories!

S.T.E.M. Activities

As part of our maths programme, we complete S.T.E.M. activities.  These activities combine Science, Technology and Mathematics.  At the moment we are using foam shapes to create lots of different objects.

Amelia & Buzzy

Amelia took great care of Buzzy last weekend.  Buzzy got to go to the beach, eat chips and pancakes, go swimming, make new friends, go out to a cafe, watch a movie and even go to a disco!  What a lucky bee!

Grandma Jenny

On Tuesday, Grandma Jenny came to visit us.  She read us stories then we read our reading books to her.  Grandma Jenny is going to visit us every week.  Hooray!

Odin & Buzzy

What fun Buzzy had with Odin last weekend.  Thank you for entertaining him Odin!

Wednesday and Thursday Pick Up

Learning Commitment Interviews will be held in Te Puna Ako (our Learning Centre) on the Senior side of the school.  Junior teachers will be locking their classrooms at 3.15pm on Wednesday and Thursday.  Children who are still at school at this time can be picked up at the School Office.  Thank you.

Discovery Time

Every Friday we look forward to having our 'Discovery Time'.  This week the children enjoyed playing with the train set and dinosaurs, making meals and helping sick patients!

Buzzy and Nikita

Buzzy had an action-packed time with Nikita last weekend.  He has been resting all week and is now ready for his next adventure!

Reading Fun

Lydia and Zara read an interesting book about 'Making Mini Movies'.  They followed the instructions in the book and made their own movie and screen using paper and a tissue box.  What a great effort girls!
