Preparing for the Cross Country

Tomorrow (Thursday) at 10am, the whole junior school will be walking down to the Alhambra Union rugby grounds to practise for the cross country.  If the children could wear running shoes tomorrow, that would be very helpful.

Our First Art Club

Monday, July 22, 2019 No comments
Our first session of Art Club was a great success.  Lots of people came to draw minions.  We are all looking forward to our next art lesson.

Mud, mud and more mud!

After the last few days of rain, our playground has become very muddy and slippery.  If the children could have some spare clothes in their bag (just in case!) that would be very helpful.  Thank you!

Amna's Learning Commitment

On Thursday, Amna shared her Learning Commitment goal with us.  She made a wonderful book full of interesting leaves and told us all about them.  Well done, Amna.  What a great effort!

This morning we watched a really entertaining show which was created for the New Zealand Science Festival.  There was amazing dry ice, lots of great singing and dancing and a wonderful message about friendship.

Languagenut

Have you heard about the new language programme we are using in Room 4?  It's called Languagenut.  Languagenut is an online programme that helps students to learn how to read, write and speak in over 20 different languages.  It is a wonderful resource for children who are learning English as a second language or for those who would like to learn a new language.  You can access Languagenut my clicking on the following link and entering your child's username and password (this was sent home on a notice this week).
